Historic Williamsburg Tour Reaches 2000 Downloads In April
In April, 2014, iTourMobile’s tour through Colonial Williamsburg reached 2,000 downloads, up from about 500 the previous month, fueled by spring break school trips to the area. The free digital tour experience demonstrates the entertainment and educational value of multimedia and interactive content brought together and powered by native mobile applications.
Visitors walking down the street of Colonial Williamsburg used to have to pay an admissions ticket or hire a tour guide to learn of the houses and buildings they stood in front of. Today, all they have to do is download the app and stand in front of a place they want to learn about to receive a narrated account, read text, or view photos or video. iTourMobile enhances the visitor experience by delivering content of points of interest when, how, and where people want it in an engaging way that can be fun, and for the kids, educational.
